Alah Adams is part of the new wave of talented authors, of African
American Lit. His first novel Banana Pudding, is quickly becoming a
favorite among readers nationwide. Nevertheless, the path that led
him to discover his talent for writing, was a rough one. Like many
other rebellious youths, Allah became involved with the streets,
where he began to sell drugs. On September 2, 1998, Allah was
arrested for selling ounces of crack-cocaine to an undercover. He
was sentenced to 4 1/2 to 9 years, on which he did 7 years. During
those 7 years, he wrote 7 novels. He made a vow to himself that he
would change his life. His new love for writing became the conduit.
